During the 1971 Liberation War, Tajuddin Ahmed took over as the Prime Minister of the Bangladesh government. It was a turbulent and turbulent time. There was an intense cold war going on between the superpowers. Their contradictory positions on Bangladesh. There were various tensions among the political parties of Bangladesh. There was no end to disagreements even within his own party. He took over the responsibility of the government amidst all this. By confronting and coordinating various opinions, he managed everything with a fixed goal in the struggle for national liberation. He took all the activities of the government forward with the aim of victory.

Even while fulfilling this important responsibility, he had to play a role in his party. At that time, several meetings of the Awami League Executive Committee were going on. Tajuddin Ahmed participated in them. Not only did he not participate. He listened attentively to what was being said in the meetings. He carefully noted it down with his own hands. His notes were written in very brief, almost coded language like telegraphs. The various dimensions of that fiery time are indelible in his coded notes. Like the sindhu in a dot, he held onto the best words of everyone with a slight scratch. He would sometimes write his own surprised comments in one or two words in between their words. For the convenience of the readers, his own comments have been put here in italics. In the old manuscript, two or four words are illegible. We have written ‘… (unclear)’ in those places.
