Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the chief of the Aam Aadmi Party, has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), the investigative agency of the Union Finance Ministry. He was arrested from his residence on Thursday (March 21) on charges of involvement in the liquor policy scam. According to NDTV and Times of India.

The central investigative agency ED had summoned him 9 times for questioning in the excise corruption case. But he did not appear. Then the ED reached his house at 7 pm on Thursday. After a two-hour search operation,

his mobile phone was seized. After that, Kejriwal was arrested at 9 pm. After that, Kejriwal was arrested at 9 pm.

Section 114 has been imposed in the area around the Chief Minister’s residence.

This is the first time in the history of India that a political leader has been arrested while serving as the Chief Minister. In this regard, the Aam Aadmi Party has said that Arvind Kejriwal will continue to hold his post even if he is arrested.

The country’s media Times of India reported that the ED questioned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for about two hours before his arrest. An ED team reached Kejriwal’s residence before evening. After this incident, the Delhi Police had tightened security around his residence.
