Voting in the presidential election in Russia ends on Sunday. Voting in the three-day election began last Friday.

The election is expected to bring the country’s current President Vladimir Putin to power for another six years.

Officials in the country said that more than half of the voters went to the polls in the first two days.

The final day will be a test of the strength of the country’s opposition. The opposition has called on supporters to vote at the same time today at noon. The move has been called “Noon Against Putin.”

The last two days of voting have been held amid some sporadic incidents. There have also been incidents of hand grenade explosions and vandalism at polling stations. The country’s law enforcement agencies have also arrested some people in these incidents.

Protests have already taken place in some places over the election. However, the latest developments in Russia’s ongoing war with Ukraine have cast a major shadow over the vote.

Kiev considers the elections, which are taking place in parts of Russian-controlled Ukrainian territory, to be illegal and invalid.
