The Department of Agricultural Marketing has fixed the prices of 29 daily commodities, including fish and meat, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. This information was given in a notification on Friday. Various government agencies will work to ensure the sale of products according to these prices.
The notification said that the Department of Agricultural Marketing has fixed the reasonable price of agricultural products under the power of Section 4 (i) of the Agricultural Marketing Act 2018. Until further instructions are given, it is requested to purchase and sell agricultural products at the following prices.
The new price has been fixed at three levels. The maximum price of a product at the producer level, the retail price at the wholesale market and the consumer level have been determined.
According to the new fixed price, the price of gram in the wholesale market can be sold at a maximum of 93.50 taka and at the retail level at 98 taka. The retail price of lentils will be 130 taka 50 paisa and coarse lentils will be sold at 105 taka 50 paisa. The maximum retail price of khesari dal will be 93 taka. In addition, the retail price of maskalai has been fixed at 166 taka 50 paisa and the maximum retail price of mugdal has been fixed at 165 taka.
The maximum retail price of beef per kg has been fixed at 664 taka. In addition, the price of goat meat is 1,003 taka. Among fish, the retail price of farmed pangash has been fixed at 181 taka and the maximum price of katla fish has been fixed at 354 taka.
In addition, buyers can buy broiler chicken at 175 taka and golden chicken at 262 taka. In addition, the maximum price of eggs will be 10.5 taka.
The price of local onion per kg has been fixed at 65 taka and garlic will be sold at 120 taka and ginger at 180 taka. In addition, the maximum price of dried chili will be 327 taka and buyers can buy raw chili at 60 taka in the retail market.
On the other hand, among vegetables, cabbage and cauliflower have been fixed at 30 taka, brinjal and beans at 50 taka per kg and potatoes at 28.5 taka. In addition, the agency has fixed the retail price of tomatoes at 40 taka per kg and sweet pumpkin at 24 taka.
On the other hand, Zahedi dates have been fixed at 155 taka per kg in the market. In addition, the retail price of sea banana has been fixed at 30 taka.
In addition, the Department of Agricultural Marketing has fixed the retail price of chira at 60 taka and gram flour at 121 taka.
