Five people were killed in a Russian missile attack on the Ukrainian city of Odessa. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis narrowly escaped the attack. The Russian forces carried out the attack on Wednesday (March 6) local time.

US media outlets CNN and the New York Post reported that Zelensky and Mitsotakis were meeting at a place just 500 meters from the place where the Russian missile hit in Odessa.

Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk told CNN that five people were killed and many others were injured in the missile attack. Neither Zelensky nor the Greek Prime Minister were injured in the attack. However, Zelensky said that he was so close to the missile attack that he heard its loud sound.
In this regard, Zelensky said, “Today we saw the attack. You saw who was carrying out this attack. I don’t know the details yet.” But I know that several people have been injured and killed.

‘We need to defend ourselves quickly. And the best way to defend ourselves is with air defense. Our allies should pay more attention to us.’
